FORMAL STATEMENT OF FAITH

  1. We believe the Bible is inspired and empowered by God, infallible and authoritative.
  2. We believe in one eternal God who exists as three indivisible persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in an eternal, unchanging God, who is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent, and who created the universe and all life therein.
  4. We believe that man is by his nature sinful, and so is born into a state of separation from God (Original Sin).
  5. We believe in the atoning blood of Jesus' Sacrifice, that His death brought the possibility Eternal Life to the Faithful, and that this Sacrifice is essential and necessary to our salvation.
  6. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life as He walked among men, who demonstrated the authority and power of God in works and speech, who died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God having accomplished all that is necessary for man's salvation.
  7. We believe it is essential for man to repent of sin and by faith receive the finished work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with his mouth and believing in his heart resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
  8. We believe the Holy Spirit is continuing the work He started at Pentecost empowering believers to live a godly life and continue in all the works of Jesus.
  9. We believe that the scriptures are the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, innerant in the original manuscripts, and our only acceptable rule of faith and life.
  10. We believe in the imminent return of Jesus and that those who have believed in Him will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body, and those who do not believe will join Satan and his host in everlasting punishment.
  11. We believe the true Church is composed of all born-again believers in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation.
  12. We believe all born-again believers have been commissioned to share the complete Gospel to all the world.
  13. We believe that God still speaks to His People.

On a slightly less formal note, here is a sense of the Vision and Purpose we have behind the Divinspiration site:

  • Our focus is two-fold: Inspirational, and Educational.
  • We encourage and support the serious study of the Word of God. We thrive on intellectual challenge. We mourn those who fear to look too closely at their own faith for fear of what they might find. God gave us a magnificent brain, and tells us in His Word to seek after Him and search the scriptures daily.
  • We want to provide a site that is uplifting, motivating, thought-provoking and educational, but all within the framework of the Love of Christ. Acrimony and dissention have no place here.
  • We want to provide a forum and opportunity for budding Christian writers to gain exposure for their work, especially if they do not have the time, resources, or experience to explore other options.
  • ...but most of all, we want to Glorify God, and HAVE FUN!!
